I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in the New York and New Jersey area.  I provide effective strategies and skills to adults  for a broad range of issues within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I specialize in helping people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) including Pure-Obsessional OCD.  I am a compassionate, empathetic psychologist who understands the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship combined with a clinical understanding of your issues so that we can work together to achieve your goals. I work within a behavioral framework which is goal-directed, skills-focused and solution-oriented. I believe in fostering self-change by allying with individuals and creating a supportive relationship in order for those I collaborate with to reach their potential.

Education and Credentials

Dr. Jordan Levy Ph.D. received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Binghamton University in 2007.  He received his doctoral training in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University in 2012 during which he produced research in the field of relationships, sexual behavior and sexual dysfunction. 

Dr. Levy has presented his research at national and international conferences.

Dr. Levy's pre-doctoral internship experience concentrated on working primarily with children and adolescents facing a variety of challenges. Child-focused treatment took place in home-based and in-school environments. During this time, he delivered effective individual and family therapy and conducted comprehensive cognitive and personality evaluations. 

 

Dr. Levy received extensive training from a world-renowned expert in the treatment of OCD at the esteemed Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. In addition to providing high quality psychological services to many individuals at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy, he previously established an innovative online OCD support group and was fortunate to co-found a comprehensive intensive treatment program for individuals with OCD. In 2015, Dr. Levy started his own practice in Livingston, NJ.​
